Introductory course in social ethics examining a variety of ethical problems and social policy questions debated in American society today. Discussions explore topics such as sexual morality, capital punishment, euthanasia and infanticide, racial and sexual discrimination, and problems of censorship in a democratic society. Special attention is given to the nature and logical structure of moral argument.
